Alex Hart is an unsigned female singer/songwriter from Ashill, Devon. She released her first album “On This Day” in 2014 and released her latest EP titled ‘For the Summer’ which is available on all streaming platforms and a hard copy at her gigs! During the lockdown Alex recorded a covers album from the comfort of her home “Under the Covers”, every instrument played by her and recorded by her, this is available to grab on Bandcamp. Alex performs all over the country with her guitar and her country sound and is picking up rave reviews with regular air play from national BBC radio shows. More recently Alex has joined forces with guitar legend Martin Barre from Jethro Tull and tours around Europe and America with his band. More recently she has toured and joined the band of Seth Lakeman during the release of his latest album ‘A Pilgrims Tale’ and is currently working with him on a second album and tour this year.
Alex released a track with electronic duo ‘Electronic Youth’, a cover of Angie Stones’ “I Wish I Didn’t Miss You” which went to no.2 in the Music Week Dance Charts and was supported by Pete Tong on Radio 1. She was also lucky enough to have supported Turin Brakes at the Lyme Regis Folk Festival where she managed to pick up two record deals, one in the US (OK!Good Records) and in the UK (Right Track Records). After collaborating with Grammy Award winning songwriter and producer Terry Britten (famous for “What’s Love Got To Do With It for Tina Turner) she released a record called ‘Make a Difference’ which was created to raise money for Derriford Hospital.
